De ECB is hem niet genoeg. Zijn ambitie reikt verder. Waarom geen wereldbank? Of een universumbank? Tenslotte heeft Juncker al gesprekken met leiders in de ruimte gehad.
Eigenlijk diende het ECB-forum maar één doel: de macht van centrale banken nog verder opdrijven en vooral een coördinatie op poten zetten om de banken onderling nog meer te laten samenwerken. Alle centrale banken in één clubje, wat dan de facto een wereldlijke centrale bank oplevert.

Sintra, een plaats in Portugal in de buurt van Lissabon. Daar kwamen van 27 tot 29 juni de centrale bankiers samen om te discussiëren met elkaar. Vooral werden de horloges er gelijk gezet. Het kransje van centrale planners vergaderde onder gigantische beveiligingsmaatregelen.
